Act 00 · The premise
Some birthdays are dinners. Some are parties. This one is a journey.
For 42 hours, I invite you to leave ordinary life behind and enter a small, carefully constructed universe of strange places, improbable challenges, movement, mystery, music, conversation and celebration.
There will be clues. There will be coordinates. There may be towels. There will definitely be dancing.
The precise nature of the adventure will reveal itself in time.

Act I — The Call to Adventure
Friday · 16 October · 19:00
Adventure museum · Banff Mountain Film Festival · DJ
We open at an adventure museum among relics of expeditions past. The Banff Mountain Film Festival screens tales of summits, oceans and impossible journeys — then a DJ takes over and the night turns kinetic.
II
Act II — The Challenge
Saturday · 17 October · Daytime
We leave the capital for Västerås, about an hour west by train. A day of movement, courage and deep time.
02.1 — The Arena
A real ballroom and Latin dance competition. We compete, cheer, or both. Sequins are not optional for everyone.
Courage is required. Technique is advisable.
02.2 — The Veil
Sweden's largest burial mound, ringed by ship settings of standing stones, used for over a thousand years. We walk among the ancestors before sunset.
Some places are better visited before dark.
III
Act III — The Ball
Saturday · Evening
Dinner · dancing · the intellectual salon
Dress as though civilisation has survived the future. Within the ball, a salon convenes: short provocations, strong opinions, and questions nobody is qualified to answer.
Intergalactic Formal
Black tie, eveningwear, celestial eccentricity.

Act IV — The Return
Sunday · 18 October
Brunch · sauna · board games · chill
A long brunch, perhaps a sauna, board games and unhurried conversation. Return gently to Earth.
